How do I book a party and how far in advance should I book?
The first step is to check availability by submitting an Inquiry Form through our website. You may also call/text us at (419) 901-9930 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Once we confirm availability, we will send you an Event Contract to be submitted along with a deposit. Once both are received, your event is booked! Parties are booked on a first-come, first-serve basis. We recommend that you book your party 4 to 6 weeks in advance in order to allow for a better chance of securing your desired date and the character/s you wish to have.
What ages are your parties most appropriate?
Generally, our character visits are designed for children between the ages of 3 – 12 to participate in organized games, etc. Our Meet & Greet package is designed for children 3 and under. However, our entertainment and photo opportunities are enjoyed at all ages!
What form of payment do you accept?
We accept personal checks, certified checks, money orders, cash and credit cards via PayPal. To reserve your party date, we require a non-refundable deposit of $50. If you choose to cancel for any reason, your deposit is non-refundable. Remaining balances are due at least 7 days prior your event date. We do not collect payments on the day of your event. FAIRYTALES Royal Parties reserves the right to cancel your event if your unpaid balance is not received prior to your party date.
Do the Characters accept gratuity?
Absolutely! The entertainers that serve you are all trained, accomplished vocalists and entertainers. They make it their number one priority to ensure that your party is truly a magical experience. Gratuity is not included in the total package price, so if you want to show your entertainer that you loved their performance, gratuity is a great way of doing so. Though it is not expected, it is always appreciated. Tipping an entertainer or party host is like tipping a waitress/waiter—between 10% - 20% of package price.
Do you entertain at parks or other venues?
Yes! We bring the entertainment to you! We will arrive at your chosen location whether it’s at your home, country club, hotel, banquet hall, Park, Community Clubhouse, etc. Keep in mind that some venues have their own restrictions and guidelines, so please check if your venue allows outside entertainment before booking.
Do you entertain for Business or Corporate events?
Yes! We will be happy to accommodate your company with our superb entertainment and entertainers. FAIRYTALES can create a Buzz for your open house, promotional event, holidays, employee parties, membership drives, school functions and fundraisers, plus many others. What locations do you serve?
FAIRYTALES Royal Parties serves locations all across Ohio. Locations beyond 25 miles (50 miles RT) from our home base in Sandusky will be assessed an additional travel fee. For a full list of our travel fees, please visit our Packages page, and scroll to the bottom. Fairytales reserves the right to determine whether or not any distance is suitable based on the nature of the event.
What if I have to cancel my party?
In the event you should have to cancel your party for any reason, we will be happy to work with you to reschedule your event for another date. In the event that your party cannot be rescheduled, we will refund any balance that has been paid, minus the non-refundable deposit.
Can I have my party outside?
If you are planning an outdoor event, we ask that you provide a shaded area on a patio or deck, free of dirt and debris. We reserve the right to determine if the outdoor area is suitable for set-up of our games. If temperatures exceed 80 degrees or high humidity, we recommend your party be in an air-conditioned area, for the comfort of our entertainers. In the event of possible inclement weather, please have an indoor area available.
How do you handle severe weather?
In the event of severe weather* FAIRYTALES Royal Parties reserves the right to cancel the event. We will do everything possible to reschedule your event on an alternate date. Should you choose not to reschedule your event, we will refund any balance that has been paid, minus the non-refundable deposit. If requested, we will provide you with a FAIRYTALES Royal Parties gift certificate in the amount of the deposit. *Severe weather includes level 3 snow emergencies or tornado warnings in any of the counties we must travel through to arrive at your event.
How do you handle illness?
In the very unlikely event that the entertainer becomes ill and we are unable to find a replacement, FAIRYTALES Royal Parties reserves the right to cancel the event. While it is most unlikely for us to cancel, we will do everything possible to reschedule your event on an alternate date. Should you choose not to reschedule, we will refund any balance that has been paid, including the deposit.
What do I need to do to prepare for my child’s event?
Please provide a smoke-free environment. We will not host parties in or around a smoking area, including residential properties.
It is the client’s responsibility to monitor any disruptive behavior and to attend to any child who may not wish to participate. This will help us provide the best possible experience for you and your child.
The rest is up to us…you may sit back, relax and enjoy the party without stressing over anything! It is our pleasure to serve you and make your child’s special celebration magical-- memories to last forever after!
How do I become a Fairytales performer?
If you think you would like to become a part of the Fairytales cast, please send a resume and photo to email@example.com. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have reliable transportation, and be willing to travel (mileage is compensated). As one of our performers, you will be working part-time and mainly on the weekends. Private Parties are between 30-60 minutes in length. Corporate Events are 2+ hours in length.
